Well howdy, Hearst-WPBF team…
My name is Donald Mirisola. I hope you like what you see…
So… here’s what I do.
I’m a technical creator with a passion for large scale projects. With a background in both Audio Visual Engineering and Digital Storytelling, I combine the solutions of A/V with the creativity of Film. I reside in Maryland and I love merging new technology with video and audio. I’m hungry for knowledge and I’m excited about all aspects of audio visual integration, film production and new emerging A/V Technologies.

Here’s some projects I think the team might like:
Art & Nursing: Merging Career Choices
This production was created as a passion production. I wrote, directed and produced the entire piece. The final product was finished in about 8 hours. I wrote the entire scripted, handled all content releases, researched music licensing & maintained everything to the organization’s (MCTV) broadcast standards.
It was also really cool working with an artist like this. I love capturing art being created!
FAFSA Fever: Montgomery College
Created as an introduction to Financial Aid for Montgomery College students. I handled all aspects of directing, producing and editing. Worked closely with the Financial Aid department to tailor the messaging and script to match the needs of new and incoming students. It is currently used as the introduction video for all new and returning financial aid students. Edited using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
Food Insecurity
This animation was created for MCTV’s student produced show MC in Focus. This piece was completely created by me using the Adobe Creative Suite. I set out on this project to try and utilize as many open source and available resources that I could to test the power of free assets out there. I only had to use one extra plugin (MonkeyType) to tie the entire thing together. The general editing was done in Adobe Premiere with the animation of the character being completely done in Adobe Character Animator. I had to also utilize Adobe Photoshop and After Effects for the motion graphics and editing. This package was to be played on MCTV’s Channel 10 however, the show was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
