BUZZZ: A Jaws Parody

Created for the 2018 Washington D.C. 48 Hour Horror Film Festival, I was lucky enough to work with Maryland based SHRUG productions. We wrote, filmed and edited the piece in 48 hours. I was lucky enough to work on all of the audio production including boom operation, recording and quality assurance. I was in charge of all audio file management and assisted the editor in logging and prepping the audio for edit. Staying up for 24 hours wasn’t easy, but I think the sleep deprivation ended up helping the unhinged endings!

Becoming You

This film was created alongside SHRUG Productions. We really tried to emphasize the difference between the Podcast speaker and the natural world. By muting more of the natural sound we created a different feeling to the piece. By making the podcast speaker’s voice so loud and muting more of the main character’s sound, we emphasized the messaging of the podcaster. This was largely successful and I think it gives the film a different feeling. I was in charge of boom operation and recording. We recorded this using a Tascam DR-60.
